Saint Peter and Paul Fair @ Bucharest Village Museum

Throughout the coming weekend, the National Village Museum Dimitrie Gusti organizes the Saint Peter and Paul Fair, the event schedule including presentation of customs for this celebration, marking the middle of agrarian summer and reaping time. In the folk calendar, June 29 marks the middle of agrarian summer. In folk tradition Saint Peter appears as either an earthling or a divine character. As an earthling, he works in agriculture, and as a saint, he guards the gates of Heaven. For three days, the Village Museum will host several cultural events: folk music and ethnic events representing Magyars, Jewish, Greek communities. The traditional food and product will not be missed this year as well.
