Romania’s trade deficit at the end of the year below 4 % of GDP

Minister of Economy Varujan Vosganian told a press conference on Thursday that Romania’s trade deficit at the end of 2013 will stay below 4% of GDP, writes AGERPRES. The Minister declared that “This is quite a performance that shows that the competitiveness of Romanian exports has grown. For the first time, the mid-year current account hit a surplus”.  Also he said that in the first seven months of the year, exports went up 7.7% compared to the same period of 2012.
