Inter-modal railway terminal in Ploiesti inaugurated by Alinso Group

Belgian developer Alinso Group inaugurated at Ploiesti Allianso Terminal, the first independently managed Inter-Modal Railway Terminal in the region. This terminal will be operated in partnership with Rail Cargo Austria. It is already fully operational and was marked by the departure of the first regular train. Already several regular trains have been scheduled for the coming weeks. According to Ivan Lokere, CEO Alinso Group, the first phase of the project incurred an investment of around EUR 7 M with focus on cutting edge technology and environment friendly solutions. The total project will be 10 ha with a storage capacity of 5,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) and 2.2 km of rail track length. The first finalized phase of the project has 19.500 sq m, a rail track length of 1,130 m and a total storage capacity of 1,028 TEU.
