I Am Asking You To Vote On This II

(Note To Regular Readers:  I would like to know if you prefer this abbreviated style of writing to what, customarily, appears in this blog.  I would appreciate it if you would log your opinion in the Comment section, below.  Thank you.  MK)

Summary:

There was always something overarchingly embarrassing and juvenile about running an advertising agency.  Apart from the overall silliness of the means and ends of purpose and objective, it always felt like this was just not something grown-ups should choose to do for a living.  And it became absolutely surreal at “pitch” time, when colors and placement of logos were seriously discussed, and big money was riding on the outcome of response to such trivialities.

The Point:

Something out of childhood came whistling out of the past and into those spaces, a sense of games and half-made selves, but it’s not that you are pretending to be someone else.  You are pretending to be exactly who you are.  That was the curious thing.

True, true… And now, 18 years after, I feel the same. I never had a chance to thank you for the oportunity of starting my career in advertising at your shop-at-the-time.

I keep a fond memory of our work together and I still think you are the best media presenter I have ever encountered.

    All the best.

Please go back to the long prose. Stories that stretch out over several days are the… as with your initial flight to Romania.
