Halloween clubbing in Bucharest

Halloween is one of the world’s oldest holidays. It is still celebrated today in a number of countries around the globe. In Mexico and other Latin American countries, Día de los Muertos—the Day of the Dead—honors deceased loved ones and ancestors. In countries such as Ireland, Canada and the United States, adults and children alike revel in the popular Halloween holiday, which derived from ancient festivals and religious rituals. Halloween gained in popularity in Bucharest in the last few years. Clubs have prepared a variety of theme parties taking place both today, October 31, and the upcoming weekend. Most clubs in the old town center will start their parties tonight at 9 or 10 pm offering their guests the scare of the year. In most clubs the entrance is free and costumes are not mandatory, but most organizers reward the best costume tonight.
