French Embassy marks 120 years since inauguration of its Bucharest Residence

On Tuesday, the French Embassy in Bucharest marked 120 years since the inauguration of France’s Residence by launching an album dedicated to this building, in which the Franco-Romanian relations have been established for more than a century, writes AGERPRES. “We wanted this work to be done because everyone in Bucharest knows this house but no one knows its true history: there are many rumors and fantasies about this building, but nobody has conducted so far a historical research on this house in order to explain what it is and what it was. So, this matter has been on my mind since the beginning,” said France’s Ambassador Philippe Gustin.
