Exchange rate hits highest rate in 15 months

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) announced a reference exchange rate of RON 4.3210/EUR, the highest in the last 15 months, due to the fact that the national currency depreciated in the first part of the trading day, in line with regional currencies. The RON depreciated against the EUR at the start of the trading day, when the level stood at RON 4.3 – 4.303/EUR. The parity is slightly above Tuesday’s last quotations that stood at RON 4.2980 – 4.3010/EUR. The exchange rate continued to grow, the day’s maximum level standing at RON 4.3230 – 4.3250/EUR.
