European Day of Languages celebrated by Romanian cultural institutions around the world

Romanian cultural institutions around the world celebrate the European Day of Languages, on September 26. The institutions celebrate linguistic diversity, with a string of events organized in Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Warsaw, Venice and Vienna, according to a press release. The European Day of Languages has been celebrated every year since 2001 on 26 September, as an initiative of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. For the day, a range of events is organized across Europe: activities for and with children, television and radio programmes, language classes and conferences.
