Cora opens “green” hypermarket in Bucharest

French retailer Cora opened a new hypermarket in Romania, the fourth one in Bucharest. The 9,000 sqm hypermarket is located on Alexandriei Road and is part of commercial center which also features 40 shops with a combined sales area of about 5,000 sqm, 980 parking lots and 4,000 sqm of green space. The whole project required a EUR 47 million investment and has a BREEAM certification for class “A” green buildings. Cora Alexandriei is the second hypermarket the retailer opened this year in Romania after the one in Bacau which was inaugurated two weeks ago. Cora now runs a local network of 10 hypermarkets in Romania.
