Bad weather to come: Snowfall and blizzards across southern Romania

Weather prediction specialists say that as of Thursday from 2 pm until Friday morning, the southern and south-eastern part of the country will be taken over by heavy snowfall. Heavy snow in the south is expected in the Capital area. Wind will blow with intensity, by 60 km per hour in Muntenia and Dobrogea and other field areas, according to the Met Office. Bucharest Mayor Sorin Oprescu asked the Capital administration to get snow plugs out. The Mayor General asked all snow and sanitation specialists to be prepared to intervene.
