AmCham Romania: investors chased away by limited access to authorities

Anca Harasim, executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham), stated yesterday that the limited access to Romanian authorities pushes a number of foreign investors to choose other markets, which do not offer more advantages than Romania, but whose governments are more open to dialogue. The AmCham representative stated that there was a certain foreign company which wished to extend to Romania, but eventually opted for Poland. When asked why they had chosen Poland, they replied them that Polish authorities had been more open, met with them, allowed them to present their projects and were more eager to help. She also said that the limited access to the prime-minister and ministers in Romania pushed some investors to other markets.
