The festival “Viori de Colectie”/ “Collection Violins” will continue tomorrow at the Radio Hall, at 7pm, with the second concert of the Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra, this time under the baton of Jozsef Horvath and featuring violinist Stefan Horvath. The programme of the first half will include Leo Weiner’s Divertimento for Strings, a 20th century work, followed by an “evergreen” of classical music – The Four Seasons, op. 8, by Antonio Vivaldi. The second half will include the Symphony no. 5 in B flat major, D 485, by Franz Schubert. Tickets are available via Eventim, at the Radio Hall’s box-office, in Germanos and Vodafone shops, Carturesti and Humanitas bookshops and online on www.eventim.ro. After more than a week of recitals and concerts featuring celebrated Romanian violinists, the “Viori de Colectie” Festival at the Radio Hall will close with an extraordinary concert of the Romanian Radio Orchestra on Friday, December 2, starting 7pm, marking the National Day of Romania. The conductor Mihnea Ignat will be wielding the baton, while the guest soloist will be the violinist Alexandru Tomescu with his famous Stradivarius-Elder-Voicu violin, made by Antonio Stradivari in 1702. Alexandru Tomescu won over 100 awards in national competitions and 26 prizes in international competitions.
