Romanian poetry recital on Romanian Language Day at ICR New York

Actor Constantin Chiriac will deliver two recitals to promote Romanian language in North America, at the invitation of the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York, writes Agerpres. The events will take place in New York and Montreal, under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ICR.  Titled “Bowing our knees to Thee, Father!” this is a recital about life, death, fate, faith and above all – love.  The first recital is scheduled for Thursday, August 29, at 19:00 at St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church in New York (42-14, 74th St, Elmhurst, NY) and is organized by the New York branch of ICR. The first show in Montreal will take place on Saturday, August 31, at 11:00 at the Great Hall of the Community Centre (6767 Cote-des-Neiges), and the second is due on Sunday, September 1, from 13:30, at St. Elijah’s Church (5055 – Rue Joffre, H1K 2T7). Entry is free.
