Bookfest opens @ Romexpo

First-class Romanian and foreign authors are expected at the Bookfest International Book Fair. The 7th edition opened its gates in Bucharest and has France as the guest of honor. Bookfest will run May 30 – June3 at the C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5 pavilions of the Romexpo Exhibition Complex. Among the personalities whose presence has been confirmed at the event, writer Michel Houellebecq, the well-known cultural programms producer and anchor Bernard Pivot, academician Dominique Fernandez and authors Nedim Gursel, Sylvie Germain, Yasmina Khadra and Yann Appery. Among the top Romanian writers, Neagu Djuvara, Mircea Cartarescu, Lucian Boia, Gabriel Liiceanu and many more.  The 7th Bookfest International Book Salon will join over 150 exhibitors on 4,000 sq m: publishing houses, book distributors, printing houses and Bookfest partner companies. Te five-day event will feature launches and presentations of books, CDs, audio books, exhibitions, autograph sessions, roundtable discussions and debates involving literary figures, journalists and artists.
