Economist Tomas Sedlacek comes to Bucharest for launch of translation of Economics of Good and Evil

On April 4th, Czech economist Tomas Sedlacek will be back in Bucharest for the launch of the Romanian translation of his book Economics of Good and Evil. The book launch will take place at the Czech center in Bucharest, starting with 18.00. In his Economics of Good and Evil, Sedlacek rethinks his field, seeing economics as a cultural phenomenon, a product of our civilization. To grasp the beliefs underlying economics, he breaks out of the field’s confines and explores myths, religion, theology, philosophy, psychology, literature, and film, ranging from the epic of Gilgamesh and the Old Testament to Matrix and the consumerism of Fight Club.
