Johnson Controls will make seats for B-Max model

Yesterday, the US automobile component producer Johnson Controls inaugurated in Craiova a factory that will produce seats to equip the compact B-Max Ford model. They hired approximately 160 employees. “Romania is a very important partner for Johnson Controls, as we anticipate a fast growth of the automotive industry in this country and a rise of the relevant market by approximately 80 per cent over the next four years”, Johnson Controls Vice-President Jeff Williams said in Craiova. The factory has 100 workers, but 60 more positions are set to be filled in the coming few months. According to the Johnson Controls official, the new facility would correlate its production with the B-Max production as it will only deliver seats to that particular plant. Johnson Controls has a total of nine production units in Romania, including the two recently acquired Spumotim Timisoara factories.
